The Nebraska Bankers Association Secures Electronic Communication; CentrixSECURE(TM) Provides NBA with a Secure Alternative to E

LINCOLN, Neb., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Centrix Solutions Inc., a provider of risk management and workforce optimization products to financial service companies, today announced the implementation of its CentrixSECURE(TM) messaging product at the Nebraska Bankers Association (NBA). The innovative secure communication solution gives the NBA a means of electronically exchanging sensitive data with business partners and member banks in a simple, efficient manner requiring no special technical considerations or software installation for end users.

The NBA selected CentrixSECURE(TM) to provide employees with a secure medium to electronically exchange information, while also enabling external authorized users to communicate inbound with NBA personnel. Through its subsidiary, the Nebraska Bankers Insurance and Services Co., the NBA offers many services to member banks that involve sensitive data. "Much of the information we routinely exchange with insurance carriers and plan participants cannot go through normal email channels," said Sean Humphrey, vice president of information technology at the NBA. "We moved to the CentrixSECURE(TM) system because of its ease of use for end users and the audit controls for administrators. We also like what Centrix has to offer in terms of responsive customer service. Centrix stands apart from others because of the company's high level of customer service and quality products."

CentrixSECURE(TM) is a browser-based solution designed to operate much like traditional email, however, in a much more secure manner. All messages and attachments are transferred via a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol, ensuring that only the sender and authorized recipient have access to the message and attachments. The system complements compliance efforts relative to data privacy regulations such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and other information protection laws. CentrixSECURE(TM) also provides a full audit report of all activity, enabling administrators to easily see who has opened each message and when those messages were viewed. The system is "branded" to the corporate identity of the organization and can optionally be integrated with a website to provide a secure, two-way communication channel for customer service inquiries.
