Kirchman Partners With SecureWorks to Offer Managed IT Security Services

Kirchman Partners With SecureWorks to Offer Managed IT Security Services

ATLANTA, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Kirchman Corporation, a Metavante company and a leading provider of core automation banking software, today announced that it has partnered with SecureWorks to resell their managed IT security services. SecureWorks is the largest provider of managed IT security services to the financial industry and was recently named by the IT analyst firm Yankee Group as a "market leader" among Pure Managed Security Service Providers (PMSSPs).

As a SecureWorks partner, Kirchman will offer all of SecureWorks' services to their clients, which include 24x7x365 network intrusion prevention, vulnerability assessment, phishing prevention and takedown, encrypted email, host intrusion prevention, and spam and virus protection. Clients will also receive comprehensive reports that outline the number of attacks prevented and filtered by SecureWorks. Reports tailored for the Board of Directors and Examiners are available and can be used to provide auditors with documented proof of due diligence and compliance with regulatory safeguards. Trend Comparison Reports let the client compare its Internet threats with that of similar organizations.

"SecureWorks is one of the top security service providers in the country and having their security services as part of our product portfolio is a real value-add," said Rachel Landrum, president, Kirchman Corporation. "We are already providing the market with the most powerful licensed core system technology, and now we can offer the very best in managed security services."

"I believe our partnership with Kirchman will be very successful and we're honored to join forces with such a highly regarded organization," said Mike Cote, SecureWorks president and chief executive officer. "Kirchman is one of the top providers of banking software and SecureWorks has proven itself as a leader in IT security. The combination of our technologies and leadership will allow Kirchman to deliver highly secure financial applications to an industry most concerned about security.

"This agreement offers SecureWorks an excellent channel opportunity, while giving Kirchman access to a very profitable, recurring revenue stream," continued Cote. "Additionally, unlike many other MSSP Channel Programs, we enable our partners to quickly begin offering a proven managed security service on top of their current product lines. This is a turn-key security offering and a real win-win for everyone: Kirchman, their clients, and SecureWorks."

"Managed security services provide businesses with an alternative to carrying the security burden themselves," said Sandra Palumbo, Senior Analyst at Yankee Group. "And services, like those offered by SecureWorks, give businesses the opportunity to leverage the broader knowledge and expertise from the security industry."
